Hitherto there is no thematic anthology of Hungarian folklore. There are important collections, and anthologies of various genres (folk songs, folk ballads, folk tales etc.), but there is no general anthology of the texts of Hungharian folklore,

The research project is about to compile such a collection, following the principles of genres and major themes. In this respect we use the lessons from international folklore scholarship too.

Both in text editing and making notes and rerefences, we want to use the most up-to-date textological methods.Not the texts, but the classification and our publishing principles will be available also to international audience
