The systematization of data collected from Hungarian dialect of Transylvania has been going on for eight years. The main result of this work is the publication of the Linguistic Atlas of the Hungarian dialects of Rumania (VII.). By means of computer technics applied, not only printed volumes are prepared, but an electronic data base too, containing a dictionary of the dialects in addition to the maps. After data base is ready, it can be written on CD — after an adaptation — can be visualized on internet. In possession of data, up to date, reliable analyses can be also used by ethnography, ethnology and settlement history or migration studies.
