The Hungarian Information & Knowledge Fusion project (IKF-H) is carried out in the frame of the IKF EUREKA Applied Research Project. The main goal of the international IKF project is to analyze, design and implement new Intelligent Knowledge Warehousing environment, allowing for advanced Knowledge Management and Business Intelligence targeted towards specific vertical application domains.
The Hungarian IKF-H consortium develops knowledge-based information retrieval system for finance companies and banks. The system retrieves topic specific information from different sources (Internet, Intranet resources, data warehouses, etc.), and provides the information to the user in a structured way.
The IKF-H system serves as an information provider tool that supports the users to make optimal decisions in complex tasks. IKF-H collects information from different sources of the surrounding environment (Intranet sources, Internet sources, data warehouse, internal databases, and human experts). The main objective of IKF-H services is to provide topic specific data with high information content for the user. The system provides consistent information about the queried part of the real world with continuous information updates.
The Hungarian IKF-H group is organized such that members brings knowledge and expertise from different fields, like knowledge management, modeling, natural language processing, finance system development and software technology.
