Company overview

The Company was established in Budapest, Hungary, by five Hungarian private persons in April 1998. The share capital of the Company was HUF 1 million, in June 2000 the equity was increased to HUF 3 Million. The shareholders and their stake in the Company remained the same.

Mr. István DARVAS, electric engineer was elected Managing Director and Mr. István KOVÁCS, the inventor is the Research Director of the Company

The product

Multiscope is an instrument that could be mounted in a simple way to any light microscope. With a multiscope on a light microscope we obtain a 3D picture where the image may reach a 5,000-fold magnifying. It also increases relative the depth of the image and the resolution.

Those, who use microscopes, represent the possible market of the multiscope. Our tests confirm that the multiscope may become an important device for the researchers in life sciences. Therefore we believe that all countries, where R&D in this field is present, are potential markets for multiscope.

It is only the multiscope, which permits to see in real time the investigated moving living structures or any other objects in 3D and in original colours.

The main market segments are: biological, medical, agricultural and industrial research,

routine laboratory checks in healthcare,

education, criminal persecution, etc.

The facts

The Company prepared the experimental devices according to the original invention of Mr. KOVÁCS and handed over to potential users for testing. In the course of the testing the advantages of the device were confirmed, however new requirements were expressed. According to these requirements Mr. KOVÁCS developed the device and created the "Multiscope". The multiscope was shown to many professors at different Hungarian Universities, to leaders of scientific research centers and in some places the instrument was tested.

The invention is filed for patenting with the Hungarian Patent Office on April 9, 1999 (P 9901034). The owner of the patent is the Company. The patent application entered the PCT I, II phase (PCT/HU00/00030.

The International Preliminary Examining Authority of the European Patent Office connected multiscope qualified the invention as novelty, inventive step, industrially applicability on all claim in its statement (no: PCT/HU00/00030) in May 2001.

It is part of the industrial right protection, that only the owners of the Company know the know-how of manufacturing of the key component.

We started to obtain patent protection on international level.

Projects

Currently Multiscope is an instrument that could be mounted in a simple way to any light microscope. Currently Multiscope can increase the standard light microscope's optical qualities and the awarded state subsidy by the company make possibility to further development of the device.

With the development of Multiscope we want to achieve that the instrument is able to improve the

International cooperation

We established contact with more European research institute about the research on the adoptability possibilities of Multiscope. But we are still looking for a partnership from a various fields of microscope adoption.
