Recognita Plus 4.0
Recognita Plus 4.0 is a font-independent, multi-lingual optical character recognition (OCR) program allowing the user to scan paper documents into computer editable text. There no need for tiresome rekeying of typed or printed documents.
Description of the product
The software opens new application opportunities by also reading faxes, 9 and 24-pin dot-matrix text, hand-printed numerals, bar-codes and checkmarks. The program is a real linguistic expert. It recognizes 367 characters (including those based on the Latin alphabet and the Greek ones), enough to cover 107 languages of the world, which makes it a unique product on the market.
It can recognise tables. Enhanced table-handling correctly identifies tables, allowing them to be saved with the original layout and contents, or with changes made before or after recognition.
The program runs under Windows 95 or Windows NT. Recognita Plus is a fast and accurate software--only OCR, it needs no special hardware apart from an IBM compatible PC and a scanner. It supports almost all commonly-used desktop scanners from major manufacturers such as Hewlett-Packard, Umax, Microtek, Canon etc., plus many lesser known ones.

Recognita Corporation has been playing a leading role in the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software field in Europe since its inception in 1989. The company's main activity is to develop and trade optical character recognition (OCR) software products and image processing systems. Its versatile OCR solutions are available all over the world.
The progress and quality of the work at Recognita is due to the high proportion of professional people in the company. The company is moderate in size, with a total of 60 employees. Almost half the staff are software engineers, while the remainder deal with mar-keting, sales, manufacturing and product support.
Recognita Corporation was founded as a joint venture shareholding company. Following a recent business combination, Recognita has become the fully-owned subsidiary of Caere Corporation, the world-wide leader in OCR and document management technologies.
